Here we are pumping concrete quite a distance from the street. The area is flat and not that far, so it could have been moved with wheel barrows. However because it is a large flat surface, the best way is to pump the concrete. Then the concrete can be evenly distributed through out the area over the rebar. This elminated the need to rake and push the concrete from the dump area across the 20 to 25 ft slab to the far side. Much more efficient way to move concrete.
